Tuesday localsalt Food Hub - Is now at The Root!
Every Tuesday localsalt hosts a Food Hub on Beddis Road . This space was created to make it more convenient to order from a variety of your favorite vendors throughout the week and pickup all your local shopping at the same time. With ample parking and close proximity to Ganges- this space is convenient for easy pick-ups.
The Root is operated by the Salt Spring Island Farmland Trust and is also where Grow Local operates.
The Tuesday Food Hub is located at 189 Beddis Road. It is a ten second drive down the road from Fulford Ganges- between the Windsor Yard and Beddis Road Garage.
Hours of Operation
9:30 AM – 1:30 PM Producers drop off labeled orders into their designated boxes.
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Orders are ready to be picked up.
Orders not picked up by 6 PM will be donated unless otherwise we hear from you beforehand.
If there are any issues with your order- please contact the vendor directly.
Things to remember: Your shopping bags and jar returns. Please also consider bringing along any vegetable cartons, clean mason jars, & egg cartons that can be reused by farmers.
