After surviving some of the coldest sustained temperatures here on Saltspring – they have proven it can be done! This is a another tasty step further in creating year-round food security on Saltspring. Get ready to have fresh, nutrient rich, living lettuce in our backyard!

Oyster Mushrooms
Grown on BC red alder our oyster mushrooms are both aesthetically pleasing and rich in nutrients. They are replete with assorted vitamins (C, B, and niacin), free amino acids, and, like shiitake, contain substantial amounts of protein. Marinated and pan-fried oyster mushrooms offer a ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ succulence. They readily adopt the flavour of sauces and marinades and are particularly delightful when paired with eggs.
