Gathering Place cloves are hand harvested by our Farmers’ Cooperative in Southern India where they grow around the periphery of the multi-tiered food forests. Cloves are the unopened pink flower buds of the evergreen clove tree. The buds are picked by hand when they are pink and dried until they turn brown in colour. Gathering Place cloves are harvested in the current year, ground into a powder, and shipped direct to us. With a warm, aromatic, sweet flavour, clove powder can be added to any of your favourite baking recipes.

The cumin seeds, which are native to the north, are hand harvested and shade dried, before being immediately shipped to us. Bursting with flavour, cumin is a member of the parsley family, and is a staple in curries, spice blends, and chili.
