My name is Haley, and I am The Butter Witch. This lil’ business is just a one woman show, which officially began last year, but I have been making, baking & sharing pies for years. I am a classically trained chef, and have been cooking professionally for over 15 years. I was drawn to Salt Spring largely because of all the amazing farms and agriculture here. My second love after cooking is farming, and I dream of owning a farm and B&B one day… for now I am so fortunate to showcase the beautiful bounty this island has to offer in my pies. Half of the reason I started this venture was to support and connect with all the lovely local farmers & growers. I only want to use the best local & seasonal ingredients in my baking, and a whole lot of love goes into eveything I make. When I am not busy making hand pies you can find me cooking at True Love Pizza & Harvest Kitchen and farming with the fine folks at Duck Creek Farm. Can’t wait to connect and cook for you soon!
