Gravensteins are delicious and versatile. They are perfect for snacking or making into apple sauce, apple pies, and other baked goodies. The are on the smaller side this year but the tree is plentiful! From Byron Farm on an old orchard tree organically grown, never been sprayed.
People have long believed that the Gravenstein was brought to Sonoma County sometime around 1812 by Russian fur trappers at Fort Ross.
