Production: this tea is cut from the green Guayusa leaf (pronounced gwhy-you-sa), native to Amazonian Ecuador and a close botanical relative to yerba mate.

Qualities:  Guayusa has been part of Amazonian culture in Ecuador and cultivated for thousands of years, as it is still today. It is treasured for its unique balance of caffeine, antioxidants, vitamins, amino acids, and its energizing effect that is similar to that of coffee and yerba mate.

Use: brew 5-7 minutes for an olive green colored naturally caffeinated herbal infusion that can keep your mind sharp and alert. Neutral aroma with a slightly grassy taste. Blends well with Lemongrass or Peppermint.
