Cosberg Lettuce Heads – Kumusha Farms

A unique variety, a cross between an Iceberg and a Cos Lettuce (Romaine) with sweet, crunchy deep green leaves. The boat-shaped leaves have the taste of an iceberg Lettuce but the texture of a Cos.

The crunchy texture is perfect in a salad or the leaves can be picked whole and used as serving boats for hot or cold accompaniments.

Living lettuce grown right here on Saltspring Island! This lettuce is grown hydroponically in the Fulford Valley by the Harvey Family,  who have spent the last fifteen years growing in South Africa. This is a another tasty step further in creating year-round food security on Saltspring. Get ready to have fresh, nutrient rich, living lettuce in our backyard!
